SUMMARY:Rcoz's 2nd Chalo Baatein Karen™ is a Powerful Success in Men’s
 Mental Health Awareness!
DESCRIPTION:\n\nDate: 10/25/2024\nTime: 12 pm - 2 pm\nLocation: TheraWin He
 alth\, 212-214 Homer Ave\, Palo Alto\, CA\n\n \n\nRcoz hosted its 2nd Chal
o Baatein Karen™ (“Let’s just talk”) event in collaboration with T
heraWin Health in Palo Alto\, this time focusing on the unique mental heal
th struggles faced by South Asian men. The turnout included courageous men
ready to gain insight\, learn\, and openly share their issues.\n\n \nOne
participant expressed gratitude for the Bay Area event\, sharing that his
cousin in New York was excited about the concept and wished for similar ev
ents there\, too. \n \n\nThe event kicked off with delicious food and ice
breaker games\, and even a skit\, creating a comfortable and welcoming env
ironment for everyone. This set the stage for a powerful session led by Li
censed Marriage and Family Therapist Steve Bagga\, who shared insights on
his somatic approach to healing. He delved into the immense pressures Sout
h Asian men face in balancing cultural expectations and their own identiti
es\, often intensified by societal and patriarchal expectations.\n\n \n\nM
eera Bhadra\, Professor of Psychology and expert in Marriage and Family Th
erapy\, also provided valuable insights on how South Asian cultural norms
can prevent men from expressing vulnerability\, instead compelling them to
internalize their struggles and uphold their roles as providers without a
 ppearing “weak.”\n\n \n\nA lively Q&amp\;A followed\, with participant
s eager to engage with both experts\, making the event a meaningful succes
s.\n\n \n\nA heartfelt thank you to TheraWin Health for co-hosting this im
pactful event! Special appreciation goes to Shubham Gupta\, Kotaro Ando\,
and Naman Solanki for their invaluable support and dedication.\n\n \n\nThi
s free event is a step toward building awareness and acceptance for better
mental health in the South Asian community. Those wishing to support Rcoz

 ms and initiatives. To donate\, [click here].\n\n\n\n\n\nFor inquiries\, p
