On May 12, Rcoz received a commendation from the Alameda County Board of Supervisors recognizing our work in South Asian mental health awareness and prevention.

We’re deeply grateful to Supervisors David Haubert, Elisa Márquez, Lena Tam, Nikki Fortunato Bas, and Nathan Miley for supporting conversations that help our community seek support earlier.

This recognition belongs to every storyteller, volunteer, donor, parent, student, and community member helping make mental health conversations more normal in South Asian families.

Join us May 30 in Palo Alto for our annual gala, Game Time for Desi Mental Health. Buy tickets here.

Can One Conversation Save A Life?

An Evening Focused On Desi Mental Health

 2026 Rcoz Gala Letter-Size Flyer

This year has been a painful reminder of how urgently our community needs earlier mental health conversations, with multiple South Asian youth suicides across the Bay Area.

At Rcoz (Our Cause), we’re working to change that before a crisis hits, helping South Asians recognize distress earlier, speak more openly, and seek support sooner. Last year alone, we reached 200+ South Asian youth through conversations on mental health, suicide prevention, academic pressure, substance use, and the pressures of growing up Desi in America.

On May 30 in Palo Alto, join us for the Rcoz Annual Gala: Game Time for Desi Mental Health, featuring keynote speaker Paraag Marathe, President of the San Francisco 49ers, sharing his personal story.

Bring friends. Sponsor a table. Show up for an evening of meaningful conversation, custom cocktails, and great food, while helping us reach more families before it’s too late.

Reserve your seat here.
