How does Rcoz support youth mental health?
Rcoz supports youth mental health by working across generations. We create programs where South Asian youth can speak openly about their well-being without shame, while also equipping parents and caregivers with the language and understanding to respond earlier and more effectively. What is Chalo Baatein Karen?
Chalo Baatein Karen (“Let’s Just Talk”) is a community-driven discussion series focused on educating, informing, and reducing the stigma surrounding mental health in the South Asian community. Each session offers a space for individuals to share their stories, ask questions, and engage with culturally attuned mental health professionals, building awareness and understanding while encouraging people to seek the right help. Are your events recorded?
Not all Rcoz events are recorded. To protect privacy and encourage open conversation, participant sharing is not recorded. In some cases, we may record portions of expert discussions for educational content.
When does the next High School Changemaker Program application open?

Does Rcoz work with mental health professionals?
Yes. Rcoz works closely with licensed mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, therapists, and counselors, who help guide our programs and lead community conversations. The majority of the professionals we work with are South Asian, ensuring our work is both clinically informed and culturally grounded.

Can I share my story anonymously?
Yes, you can share your story anonymously. Many contributors choose this option for comfort and privacy. Rcoz reviews all submissions and may make small edits to safeguard identifying details before publishing.
How will my story be shared with the public?
After you submit your story, the Rcoz team will review it and may share it on our website, social media, or other educational platforms to support mental health awareness. We handle all submissions with confidentiality and respect.

Resources & Support
Is Rcoz a substitute for therapy or counseling?
No. Rcoz provides mental health stories, community conversations, and educational resources to increase awareness and reduce stigma, but it is not a substitute for professional therapy, counseling, or medical care. Our programs are for general support and awareness only. If you have concerns about your mental health, please speak with a qualified healthcare provider and visit our Resources page for additional support options.
What should I do if I need immediate mental health help?
Rcoz is not a crisis service. If you are in immediate danger or need urgent support, please contact trained crisis professionals right away.
